aq* 10 PA, E 508 <br />r <br />N) <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, July 19th, 1982 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, convened in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, July 19, <br />1982, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. Those present were Commissioners John E. Dotterer, <br />Jack D. Funderburke, Lila P. Nielsen, and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman K. S. <br />Harmon was absent. <br />was transacted: <br />Vice-Chairperson Lila P. Nielsen presided and the following business <br />The invocation was given by the Reverend Dennis Sheppard, Pastor <br />of the Lemon Springs United Methodist Church, Lemon Springs, North Carolina. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the minutes of the regular <br />meeting held on July 6, 1982, and the minutes of the special meeting held on July <br />9, 1982, be approved and ordered recorded. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, the resolution was. unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the Board <br />and presented the Preliminary Plat of the Bradford Wood Subdivision, which had been <br />approved by the Planning Board. After discussion and review, Commissioner John <br />E. Dotterer moved that the Board approve the Preliminary Plat of the Bradford Wood <br />Subdivision. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. Mr. Barefoot, the County Planner, then presented <br />the final plat of the Charlie S. Fallin Subdivision to the Board for consideration. <br />Because of the size of the roadways and the fact that some of the lots did not have <br />access to a public road, this matter was discussed at length. Commissioner John <br />E. Dotterer moved that the final plat of the subdivision be approved. Commissioner <br />Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote the motion was adopted <br />unanimously. <br />Mrs. Martha Hollers, Highway Commissioner, and Division Engineer <br />Jordan, District Engineer Beck and other representatives of the Department of <br />Transportation, as well as local representatives of the Governor's Efficiency Council, <br />met with the County Commissioners. Mrs. Hollers reviewed the highway program <br />and District Engineer Beck presented for the Board's consideration, a resolution <br />which would adopt the recommendations of the Highway Division with respect to <br />that program. All interested citizens were given an opportunity to present their <br />problems concerning roads, to the Highway representatives. After all complaints <br />
