The County Manager is authorized to receive in the <br />Board of Commissioners' behalf, bids at public auction for the purchase of the <br />described property. <br />3. The public auction will be held on October 23, 1982 , <br />at 10:00 o'clock a. m., at County Maintenance Garage on Elm Street, in <br />Sanford, North Carolina . The terms of sale shall be cash. <br />4. The County Manager shall cause a notice of the public <br />auction to be published in accordance with G. S. 160A-270 (b). <br />5. The person making the highest bid shall deposit with <br />the County Finance Officer an amount equal to 5% of the bid. <br />6. The highest bid, if it complies with the terms of sale, <br />may, be accepted by the County Manager and the sale consummated. <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />it was unanimously adopted. <br />That the Board instructed the County Manager that if the schools <br />could use the air-conditioning units for Floyd Knight School and are willing to pay <br />to have them installed, that he is authorized to dispose of that equipment in that <br />manner. <br />
