P ray 55'7-F ~ <br />' .,OOK 1O <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY AMENDING THE. <br />SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS OF LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. That Article V, Section B. Additional definitions be amended by <br />adding the following: <br />Short Connecting Roads - Dead end roads or roads which are only one <br />block long and have no present or potential future collector charac- <br />teristics. <br />Section 2. That Article VIII, Section 8. Right-of-Way Widths be amended as <br />follows: <br />In subparagraph a. delete the words "Local Road 60" and insert in <br />lieu thereof the words "Local Road 50". In subparagraph b. delete <br />the words "Local Street 60" and insert in lieu thereof the words <br />"Local Street 50". <br />Section 3. That Article VIII, Section 8, Right-of-Way Widths be amended by <br />adding subparagraph c as follows: <br />C. Urban or Rural Right-of-Way, Feet <br />Short Connecting Roads 45 <br />Cut-de-sacs 45 <br />Section 4. That Article Vill, Section 9. Pavement Width be amended as follows: <br />The required pavement widths or graded widths for local roads or <br />streets without curb and gutters shall be reduced from 24 feet to <br />20 feet. The required pavement widths or graded widths for Marginal <br />Access (Frontage) Streets and Cul-de-sac Streets without curb and <br />gutter shall be reduced from 24 feet to 18 feet. <br />Section 5. That Article VIII be amended by adding a new section as follows: <br />20. Maintenance Aereements for Private Streets. <br />Final plats containing streets designated "private" shall be <br />accompanied by a maintenance agreement which adequately provides <br />for the future maintenance of such streets. The agreement shall <br />meet the approval of the Planning Board and shall be recorded <br />in the Lee County Registry.
