rly, 1.0 Pr,U 5S7 -A <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />J THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, September 20, 1982 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, convened in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, September <br />20, 1982, at 7:00 o'clock p. m. Those present were Commissioners Jack D. <br />Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner <br />John E. Dotterer was absent when the meeting opened but joined the meeting while <br />it was in progress. <br />Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The invocation was given by the Reverend Dick Boles, Pastor of the <br />Pocket Presbyterian Church. <br />The draft of the minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday, September <br />7, 1982, were considered and amended to provide the amount of the budget amend- <br />ment in appropriation adjustment no. 820090703. As amended, the minutes were <br />ordered approved and recorded upon motion of Commissioner Gordon A, Wicker, <br />seconded by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion was unanimously adopted. <br />upon a vote. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer joined the meeting and participated <br />in the further deliberations of the Board. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker presented a petition requesting <br />the addition to the State System of Maintained Roads of a new Secondary Road which <br />runs off from Secondary Road 1146 across the R. Wilton Williams land to the <br />division of the R. Wilton Williams heirs property in Jonesboro Township, Lee County. <br />The matter was discussed, following which Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved <br />that the Board adopt a resolution, a copy,of which is attached to these minutes and <br />by this reference made a part hereof, which approves said petition and recommends <br />the addition of said road to the State System of Maintained Secondary Roads. Comm- <br />issioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />
