Grants Director, Elwin J. Buchanan, presented two budget amendments, one to the Deep River School Water Line Project which would utilize remaining funds in the Deep River School Water Line Project for construction of three short water lines in other areas of the County, and one to transfer a surplus fund from several line items to construct a water line in the Colon community. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the budget amendments, both of which are attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, be approved. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote they were unanimously adopted. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that Reverend Dave Early be appointed to serve a one-year term on the Nursing Home Advisory Committee. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The County Manager, Walter B. Hartman, Jr. , presented a budget amendment for the purpose of funding the purchase of automobiles for the Sheriff's Department. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved that Appropriation Adjustment #82111507,-a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, be adopted. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Chairman K. S. Harmon reported that the County had received a grant of $ 1, 000. 00, from the North Carolina Department of Administration, under the North Carolina Land Records Management Program. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the Land Records Management Program Grant agreement be accepted and that the proper County officials be authorized to execute and sign the agreement for such grant. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The release report for the month of October, 1982, as prepared by the Tax Supervisor's Department, was presented to the Board. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke moved that the Tax officials of Lee County be authorized to grant releases in accordance with the report prepared by the office of the Tax Supervisor for October 1982, for the reasons assigned in said report, a copy of which report is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The County Manager reminded the Board there would be a luncheon at twelve o'clock noon on Friday, November 19, 1982, at the Flame Restaurant, honoring Commissioners Jack D. Funderburke, K. S.
