0 0 <br />W, 10 aSE 605 <br />authorized to advertise for bids for the completion of the project. Commissioner <br />John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Grants Director, Elwin J. Buchanan, presented two budget amendments, <br />one to the Deep River School Water Line Project which would utilize remaining funds <br />in the Deep River School Water Line Project for construction of three short water <br />lines in other areas of the County, and one to transfer a surplus fund from several <br />line items to construct a water line in the Colon community. Commissioner John <br />E. Dotterer moved that the budget amendments, both of which are attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, be approved. Commissioner Jack <br />D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote they were unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that Reverend Dave Early <br />be appointed to serve a one-year term on the Nursing Home Advisory Committee. <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />The County Manager, Walter B. Hartman, Jr. , presented a budget <br />amendment for the purpose of funding the purchase of automobiles for the Sheriff's <br />Department. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved that Appropriation Adjustment <br />#82111507,-a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made <br />a part hereof, be adopted. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Chairman K. S. Harmon reported that the County had received a <br />grant of $ 1, 000. 00, from the North Carolina Department of Administration, under the <br />North Carolina Land Records Management Program. Commissioner John E. Dotterer <br />moved that the Land Records Management Program Grant agreement be accepted and <br />that the proper County officials be authorized to execute and sign the agreement for <br />such grant. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />The release report for the month of October, 1982, as prepared by <br />the Tax Supervisor's Department, was presented to the Board. Commissioner Jack <br />D. Funderburke moved that the Tax officials of Lee County be authorized to grant <br />releases in accordance with the report prepared by the office of the Tax Supervisor <br />for October 1982, for the reasons assigned in said report, a copy of which report is <br />attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner <br />Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The County Manager reminded the Board there would be a luncheon at <br />twelve o'clock noon on Friday, November 19, 1982, at the Flame Restaurant, honoring <br />Commissioners Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon and Lila P. Nielsen. <br />N <br />
