0. 0 <br />noK 11 PAGE 20 <br />The Board then proceeded to open the bids received on the Deep <br />River Water Line (SR #1466 Addition), which bids are as shown on the tabulation <br />form marked for said project, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and <br />-by this reference made a part hereof. <br />The Board next proceeded to open bids for the water line extension <br />in the Colon area. The bids received were as shown on the bid tabulation form <br />marked for said project, a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference <br />made a part hereof. <br />The Board next considered an agreement between the County <br />and the Seaboard Coastline Railroad Company, which granted the County a <br />right or license to install a water line across the tracks at Colon. The matter <br />was discussed, following which Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the <br />adoption of the following resolution: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA, <br />in regular meeting assembled that the Chairman be, and <br />he hereby is, authorized to enter into an agreement with <br />the SEABOARD COAST LINE RAILROAD COMPANY, and <br />to sign same on behalf of said County, whereby said Rail- <br />road Company..grants unto said County, the right or license <br />to install and maintain, for the purpose of conducting water, <br />lines of 6-inch and 4-inch pipe on, along and across the <br />rights of way and underneath track or tracks of said Rail- <br />road Company, at COLON, near SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA; <br />as more particularly described in said agreement, which <br />agreement is dated October 28, 1982, a copy of which agree- <br />ment is filed with this County Commission. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , 'seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board next received bids for asphalt paving at the family <br />camping site at San-Lee Park. The bids received were as shown on the bid <br />tabulation form marked for said project, a copy of which is. attached to these min- <br />utes and by this reference made a part hereof. <br />The Chairman announced that the time had arrived for the public <br />hearing on the proposed naming of all roads within Lee County. The Board first <br />heard from Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, who outlined the proposed <br />numbering system and provided materials with respect to the names which are <br />currently in use for many of the County's roads. The Board then opened the <br />floor to allow-all interested citizens to express their opinions upon the matter. <br />All interested citizens were heard, following which the public hearing was <br />closed and the Board resumed the' business to be conducted. <br />
