0,3 <br />300r 11 44 -F <br />STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />• COUNTY OF LEE <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day <br />of , 1982, by and between LEE COUNTY, a <br />political subdivision of the State of North Carolina, hereinafter <br />called the "COUNTY"; and the SANFORD-LEE COUNTY RESCUE SQUAD, INC., <br />a non-profit corporation chartered by the State of North Carolina, <br />hereinafter called the "RESCUE SQUAD"; <br />W I T N E S S E T H: <br />WHEREAS, the County operates an ambulance service which <br />is based in the Rescue Squad's facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties desire a written testimonial of their <br />agreement; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and of the <br />mutual promises herein contained and of the mutual benefits to <br />result therefrom, the parties agree as follows: <br />One. This agreement shall cover the period from <br />• July 1, 1982, through June 30, 1985. <br />Two. The County will pay to the Rescue Squad an amount to <br />be determined by the Lee County Commissioners annually in their <br />budget deliberations, but no less than that appropriated the <br />previous year, said sum to be paid in monthly increments and paid <br />on or before the 10th of each month. <br />Three. The County shall have the use of the facilities <br />owned by the Rescue Squad for the purposes of storage of vehicles <br />and as a base for its operations in operating an ambulance service, <br />provided that such use shall be in connection with the joint <br />occupancy of the Rescue Squad in the operation of their activities. <br />Four. The Rescue Squad shall provide adequate certified <br />volunteer personnel to man the ambulance service during the hours <br />of 8:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and 6:00 p.m. <br />Sunday until 6:00 a.m., Monday, or for whatever reduced period of <br />time may be mutually agreed upon by the parties. <br />Five. That a list of proposed volunteers and their proposed <br />schedule of work be submitted to the Lee County Ambulance Service <br />Director for his approval. <br />
