or;, 11 44-A 0 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />T COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, January 17, 1983 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:00 o'clock p. m. , on Monday, <br />January 17, 1983, in the Commissioners Room, second floor, County Office <br />Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were <br />Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , John E. Dotterer, <br />Bertha L. Matthews, and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum <br />present and the meeting open for the transaction of business., <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business <br />was transacted: <br />The invocation was given by the Reverend Barry Lane, of St. <br />Luke United Methodist Church. <br />The minutes of the January 4th, 1983 meeting were approved and <br />ordered recorded, upon motion of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, which motion <br />was seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews and unanimously adopted upon <br />a vote.. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker brought up for discussion , <br />inquiries he had received concerning naming of roads in the areas outside of the <br />municipalities. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the <br />Board and presented plan for the development of the Quail Ridge Town House <br />property. Mr. Barefoot explained that this plan had been approved a year ago, <br />but the developer never presented a letter of credit; however, the developer had <br />now built some of the required improvements and that in his opinion, a letter of <br />credit for $13, 175. 00 would be sufficient. Mr. Barefoot also reported that the <br />map had been approved by the Planning Board, and the reduced letter of credit <br />had likewise been approved by the Planning Board. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews moved that the recommendations of the Planning Board be accepted and <br />that the map for the development of the Quail Ridge Town House Property be <br />approved with the posting by the developer of a letter of credit in the amount of <br />$13, 175. 00. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />
