°OOR ~dCE <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, February 7th, 1983 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 o'clock a. m. , on <br />Monday, February 7th, 1983, in the Commissioners Room, second floor, <br />County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street; Sanford, North Carolina. Those <br />present were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , <br />John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews, and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chair- <br />man declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of <br />business. <br />was transacted: <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business <br />The invocation was given by the Reverend Ben Rouse, Pastor of <br />the Jonesboro United Methodist Church. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting held on January 17th, 1983, <br />were approved and ordered recorded, upon motion of Commissioner Gordon A. <br />Wicker, seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, which motion was <br />unanimously adopted upon a vote. <br />The Chairman recognized Mr. Fletcher Phillips, who appeared <br />with a group of hunters who were interested in the Dog Ordinance. In general, <br />Mr. Phillips stated that they were opposed to taxing more than three dogs per <br />
