V IV <br />rv it mu 63 <br />two, wherein Commissioners Dotterer, Matthews and Wicker voted for it and <br />Commissioners Almond and Dossenbach voted against it. <br />The Board next considered the matter of the adoption of a <br />resolution designating the names of the streets in the areas outside of the corporate <br />limits within the County. Mr. Leonard Barefoot presented a list of proposed <br />names and submitted four changes which he proposed. The matter was discussed, <br />following which Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , moved that the streets <br />and highways within the County outside of the corporate limits of any City or Town, <br />be named as set forth on the list which is attached to these minutes which list is <br />hereby incorporated herein. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the Board <br />and presented Preliminary Plats for Sedgemoor, Woodmere and Trentwood Sections <br />of Carolina Trace, for approval. It was reported to the Board that these Preliminary <br />Plats had been approved by the County Planning Board. Commissioner Gordon A. <br />Wicker moved that the Preliminary Plats of the three sections of Carolina Trace be <br />approved. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the Department of <br />Transportation be requested to make a study of the traffic conditions in and around <br />the entrance to the Carolina Trace Subdivision, with a view to what changes could <br />be made for the benefit of the travelling public. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />It was reported to the Board that the territory established as the <br />Northwest Pocket Fire District had an overlap on an area of property east of Patter- <br />son's Creek and the district needed to be re-defined to exclude such area. Comm- <br />issioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the territory known as the Northwest Pocket <br />Fire District be established as the area embraced in the description attached to <br />these minutes entitled "Northwest Pocket Fire District" which description is incor- <br />porated herein as fully as if herein set out and as depicted on the map attached to <br />these minutes also entitled "Northwest Pocket Fire District", which is likewise in- <br />corporated in these minutes. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Cape Fear Fire District wishes to expand its territory and <br />presented a description and map with the territory expanded to a five mile radius <br />from the fire department. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the <br />territory described on the attachment to these minutes described as the proposed <br />tax district for the Cape Fear Rural Fire District and as depicted on the map showing <br />the present and proposed expanded district, a copy of which is attached hereto, be <br />established and recognized as the Cape Fear Rural Fire District. Commissioner <br />Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />
