This purchase is for one complete shelter kit, including a <br /> generator and HVAC unit. If approved this purchase will be made using 33, 941.00 of funding <br /> provided by the CDC grant awarded to the Lee County Department of Health and allotted for <br /> Emergency Managements development of an isolation housing program for those without <br /> housing. In addition, these assets will be used to support Emergency Managements mission <br /> within Lee County and our neighboring jurisdictions. <br /> DLX shelters are currently utilized by several other jurisdictions throughout North <br /> Carolina and by the North Carolina Department of Emergency Management. Buy utilizing the <br /> same shelter, Lee County can insure its shelters are compatible with cooperating jurisdictions. <br /> Allowing for the connection of multiple shelters when an incident dictates.
