The City of Sanford requested an <br /> increase in the budget for FY 2020-2021, which included salary increases for employees. Dr. <br /> Crumpton provided the history of the budgeted contract expenses and recommended adopting a <br /> budget for FY 2021 based on what Sanford City Council approved as a part of their budget for <br /> the upcoming fiscal year. <br /> City contract history.pdf <br /> Planning Services-Oct 15,2013.pdf <br /> FY 20-21 Budget Discussion <br /> The FY 19-20 budget included an $85,000 appropriation to assist Harnett County with Veteran's <br /> Court. Funds were needed to cover the loss of State grant funding. The $85,000 has been <br /> budgeted again in FY 20-21. The FY 2021 budget also includes $27,148 for various chairs, tables <br /> and other items needed by the Clerk for the courthouse. $158,894 of the General Services <br /> recommended budget was due to increase related to salaries and wages. $74,846 of that amount <br /> is for two housekeeping assistants. It is anticipated that half of this amount of$37,423 will be <br /> covered by Coronavirus Relief Funds. The remaining amount, $84,048, is attributable to the <br /> COLA, pay plan and retirement rate increase. Another$305,250 of the increase is in building <br /> improvements and <br /> 1 <br />
