coot 11 9.40 0 RESOLUTION BY GOVERNING BODIES OF LEE COUNTY AND THE CITY OF SANFORD WHEREAS, The Economic Development Administration's Legislation, Title I - Public Works, permits local units of government to jointly apply for funds to construct public facilities. WHEREAS, the Economic Development Administration has received a proposal to construct public facilities to serve two industrial sites, the Lee County Industrial Park Extension and the Wilson site, and has authorized the submittal of a Public Works Application. WHEREAS, the Lee County Industrial Park Extension site is located outside of a municipality's jurisdiction and the Wilson site is located within the City of Sanford's jurisdiction. WHEREAS,' the proposed water and sewer facilities will utilize the City of Sanford's water and wastewater treatment facilities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS and THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF SANFORD: THAT, Lee County and the City of Sanford jointly apply to the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce for Title I - Public Works funds to construct public facilities to serve the Lee County Industrial Park Extension and Wilson sites. THAT, John E. Dotterer, Chairman, Lee County Board of Commissioners, and Rex McLeod, Mayor, City of Sanford and their successors so titled, are hereby authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of Lee County and the City of Sanford. THAT, John E. Dotterer, Chairman, Lee County Board of Commissioners, and Rex McLeod, Mayor, City of Sanford are hereby authorized and directed to furnish such information as the appropriate State and Federal agency may request in connection with such application or the project; to make assurances as contained above; and to execute such other documents as may be required in connection with the application. THAT, Lee County will serve as the Lead Agency in the submittal of the application and construction management of the project including the selection of an engineering firm.
