coot 11 9.40 0 <br />RESOLUTION BY GOVERNING BODIES OF LEE COUNTY <br />AND THE CITY OF SANFORD <br />WHEREAS, The Economic Development Administration's Legislation, <br />Title I - Public Works, permits local units of <br />government to jointly apply for funds to construct <br />public facilities. <br />WHEREAS, the Economic Development Administration has received <br />a proposal to construct public facilities to serve two <br />industrial sites, the Lee County Industrial Park <br />Extension and the Wilson site, and has authorized the <br />submittal of a Public Works Application. <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Industrial Park Extension site is located <br />outside of a municipality's jurisdiction and the Wilson <br />site is located within the City of Sanford's <br />jurisdiction. <br />WHEREAS,' the proposed water and sewer facilities will utilize <br />the City of Sanford's water and wastewater treatment <br />facilities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS and THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF SANFORD: <br />THAT, Lee County and the City of Sanford jointly apply to the <br />Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of <br />Commerce for Title I - Public Works funds to construct <br />public facilities to serve the Lee County Industrial <br />Park Extension and Wilson sites. <br />THAT, John E. Dotterer, Chairman, Lee County Board of Commissioners, <br />and Rex McLeod, Mayor, City of Sanford and their successors <br />so titled, are hereby authorized to execute and file an <br />application on behalf of Lee County and the City of Sanford. <br />THAT, John E. Dotterer, Chairman, Lee County Board of Commissioners, <br />and Rex McLeod, Mayor, City of Sanford are hereby authorized <br />and directed to furnish such information as the appropriate <br />State and Federal agency may request in connection with such <br />application or the project; to make assurances as contained <br />above; and to execute such other documents as may be required <br />in connection with the application. <br />THAT, Lee County will serve as the Lead Agency in the submittal <br />of the application and construction management of the project <br />including the selection of an engineering firm. <br />
