The Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, North Carolina met in a regular <br /> meeting at the McSwain Extension Education and Agriculture Center located at 2420 Tramway <br /> Road in Sanford, North Carolina, at 6:00 p.m. on June 1, 2020. <br /> Present: Chair Amy Dalrymple, presiding, and Commissioners Cameron Sharpe, Robert <br /> Reives, Dr. Andre Knecht, Kevin Dodson, Kirk Smith and Arianna Del Palazoo <br /> Absent: N/A <br /> Also Present: County Manager Dr. John Crumpton, Clerk to the Board Jennifer Gamble, <br /> County Attorney Whitney Parrish and Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter <br /> Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter introduced <br /> the following resolution the title of which was read and a copy of which had been previously <br /> distributed to each Commissioner: <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF <br /> AN INSTALLMENT FINANCING AGREEMENT, A DEED OF TRUST <br /> AND RELATED DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br /> FINANCING OF VARIOUS CAPITAL PROJECTS FOR THE COUNTY <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners (the "Board") for the County of Lee, <br /> North Carolina (the "County"): <br /> Section 1. The Board does hereby find and determine as follows: <br /> (a) There exists in the County a need to finance the costs of(i) acquiring and improving <br /> certain land to be used for economic development purposes, (ii) renovating the County's <br /> Government Center and (iii) renovating and expanding the County Courthouse (collectively, the <br /> "Project"). <br /> (b) After a public hearing and due consideration, the Board has determined that the most <br /> efficient manner of financing the Project will be through entering into an Installment Financing <br /> 1 <br />
