A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, North Carolina <br /> was held remotely by electronic means at 6:00 p.m. on May 4, 2020. <br /> Present: Chairman Amy Dalrymple, presiding, and Commissioners Kevin Dodson, Dr. <br /> Andre Knecht, Arianna Del Palazzo, Robert Reives, Cameron Sharpe, and Kirk Smith <br /> Absent: None <br /> Also Present:County Manager John Crumpton, County Attorney Whitney Parrish, County <br /> Clerk Jennifer Gamble, and Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter <br /> * * * * * * <br /> The Chairman announced that this was the hour and day of the public hearing on a <br /> proposed installment financing agreement (the "Agreement") to be entered into by the County of <br /> Lee, North Carolina (the "County") pursuant to Section 160A-20 of the General Statutes of <br /> North Carolina, as amended (the "Act"), in a principal amount not to exceed $9,000,000 for the <br /> purpose of providing funds, together with any other available funds, to pay the costs of (a) <br /> acquiring and improving certain land to be used for economic development purposes, (b) <br /> renovating the County's Government Center and (c) renovating and expanding the County <br /> Courthouse (collectively, the "Project"). To secure its obligations under the Agreement, the <br /> County will grant a lien on all or a portion of the sites of the Project, together with any <br /> improvements or fixtures located or to be located thereon <br /> The Chairman acknowledged due publication of the notice of public hearing in a <br /> newspaper with a general circulation in said County as required by Section 160A-20(g) of the <br />
