B. County Update on the COVID-19 Pandemic
One of the big issues the Health Department is having is performing contact tracing.
They are performing daily screening of their employees. The Board of Education is
sending at least one nurse a day over to help the Health Director with the contact
tracing. The County is still monitoring 105 individuals. 20 individuals have resumed
normal activity. Chair Dalrymple requested consideration of County staff planning
following the expiration of Executive Order 135. The discussion centered around
planning a phase-in approach for County employees and programs. Chair Dalrymple
recommended putting together a committee of community leaders including
members from the SAGA Board, School System, law enforcement, Community
College, City of Sanford, hospital, and state representatives to review plans based
on the guidance of the state and federal government over the next few months.
Chair Dalrymple with the consensus of the Board requested that staff put together a
draft plan to propose to the Board at the next meeting.
4.
