sitting around. There are capacity issues due to the growth in the County. The City is <br /> now operating 6 days a week to keep up with limb and leaf pickup. There is a big <br /> discussion between local governments reviewing hazard pay for local employees. <br /> There has been pay increases considered for emergency responders and essential <br /> employees. There is also the pandemic leave that has expired for some employees. <br /> The County Manager discussed his preparation of FY 2021 budget proposals. He <br /> said is priority is the pay plan for the employees and maintaining current service <br /> levels. The plan is that even if the budget is passed in June, most of the major <br /> purchases will wait until January 2021. The County Manager also asked the <br /> Commissioners to review the Sport Complex Bond Referendum. If it is delayed, the <br /> earliest it would come back up is in the Primary in March 2022. The County would <br /> have 7 years to issue the bonds if they passed.
