COUN <br /> va 1.7 <br /> i <br /> ,* f <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXEMPTION FROM THE <br /> REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) PROCESS ALL PROJECTS <br /> INVOLVING ARCHITECTURAL,ENGINEERING, SURVEYING,CONSTRUCTION <br /> MANAGEMENT AT RISK,DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES,AND PUBLIC PRIVATE <br /> PARTNERSHIP CONSTRUCTION SERVICES WHERE THE ESTIMATED <br /> PROFESSIONAL FEE IS LESS THAN $50,000.00 <br /> WHEREAS,the North Carolina General Assembly has amended N.C.G.S. 143-64.32 to allow the <br /> exemption of contracts with an estimated profession fee of less than $50,000; and <br /> WHEREAS, this new limitation applies to all contracts subject to the statute, which includes <br /> architectural, engineering, surveying, and construction management at risk, design-build services and <br /> public-private partnership construction services; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Board understands this exemption will need to take place for each individual eligible <br /> contract. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Lee County Board.of Commissioners authorizes <br /> exemption from the Request for Qualifications(RFQ)process all projects involving architectural, <br /> engineering, surveying, construction management at risk services, design-build services, and public- <br /> private partnership construction services and authorize the County Manager to approve projects on a case- <br /> by-case basis at the request oftheDepartment Head. <br /> Adopted this l(9'day of 11 4 h , 2020. <br /> Amy M.
