Through use of these public process tools the County will share information and allow the
community and partners to express their opinions and perspectives for consideration in decision
making. Rather than arbitrarily decide the exact approach for each engagement strategy at this
point, we recommend waiting until the kickoff meeting so the County can think carefully about
the specific purpose and outcomes of each participation event and decide what works best.
Our administrative staff will work with Lee County all of the details behind this process:
scheduling in-person meetings or calls with stakeholders, determining location and confirming
time and date of meetings, sending reminder emails, and creating documentation.
A quick note about postcards, sticky notes and white boards: surveys are losing appeal as a
public engagement tool and often participation is poor. There are some innovative and creative
way to engage with the community that have proven to be very successful for clients. We have
included these methods in our proposal as a best practice.
Reports will be created for each type of engagement feedback so that participants in the
facilitated meetings can see the results. We create very easy to read and graphic reports that
are designed for the audience.
Task Three: Design and facilitate work sessions
Our facilitated meetings will answer the question of How do we get there? This is where our
background in local County government shines! As a Certified Master Facilitator TM we
specialize in creating a meeting framework that is engaging, effective and creates outcomes.
Our team handles it all: preparing meeting agendas, designing Power Points, creating
Strategic Planning Process meaningful group discussions, and drafting
meeting minutes, reports and recommendations.
Our unique prows Involves S staps customized to each client
Pompattive and Trends
We cover the hUtwV and beciWound of economic
development including Mission, Vision, and values. The
facilitated meetings are the heart of the process
and will build understanding, create support for
the Goals and Priorities, and engage the
stakeholders in the implementation of the final
decisions. We absolutely recommend that there
be ongoing stakeholder meetings following
creation of the Plan to ensure support and to
make any necessary adjustments over time.
y1trent.com
rage 6 of 11
970.208.6633
