2. The Town agrees to keep records of all disaster debris removal expenses and activities <br />and to provide those to the County as necessary for the County to be reimbursed by <br />FEMA or the State of North Carolina. <br />3. The County agrees to file any necessary paperwork with FEMA and/or the State of <br />North Carolina to be reimbursed for eligible activities. <br />4. The County agrees to pay the Contractor for work conducted under their "Pre -Event <br />Contract for Disaster Debris Management Services" within the Town limits. <br />5. The County delegates to the Town of Broadway all authority to direct the execution <br />of the scope of services of the contract for disaster debris management services within <br />the Town boundaries. <br />6. The Town agrees to bear any portion of the costs associated with the work performed <br />within the Town limits, which is not eligible for reimbursement by FEMA, or the State <br />of North Carolina, and agrees that the County shall bear no responsibility for any cost, <br />damage or liability arising from the services performed under the "Pre -Event Contract <br />for Disaster Debris Management Services" which occurs within the Town limits. <br />7. The term of this Interlocal Agreement shall be the same as that under the "Pre -Event <br />Contract for Disaster Debris Management Services" including any extensions, change <br />orders or modifications to the term of that agreement unless sooner changed <br />hereunder. <br />8. The Town or the County may terminate this Interlocal Agreement at any time for any <br />reason by notifying the Manager of the other entity in writing. <br />9. The County shall ensure that the Contractor shall identify vehicles removing debris <br />within the Town limits as "Town of Broadway" vehicles. <br />10. The County shall ensure that Contractor supply a separate point person for contact by <br />the Town for work performed within the Town limits. <br />11. The County agrees that the temporary disaster staging sites identified for use by their <br />Contractor shall also be used for debris removed from the Town limits at no charge. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, and as the duly authorized act of the governing bodies, the <br />parties hereto have caused this instrument to be signed in their respective names by their proper <br />officials and to be attested by their respective Clerks the day and year first above written. <br />
