Zoning Map Amendment (Rezoning) Application to rezone a vacant 43 +/- <br /> acre tract of land with frontage on Cox Maddox Road and Wilmer Road from <br /> Residential Agricultural (RA) to Residential Restricted (RR). <br /> An application was submitted by Harrington Properties of NC, LLC, for <br /> property owned by Donna L. Thomas, to rezone one vacant 43 +/- acre tract <br /> of land with frontage on Cox Maddox Road (between 812/814 and 828 Cox <br /> Maddox Road) and frontage on Wilmer Road (opposite 299 Wilmer Road) <br /> from Residential Agricultural (RA) to Residential Restricted (RR). The subject <br /> property is identified as Tax Parcel 9661-83-4636-00 as depicted on Lee <br /> County Tax Map 9661.04. This would be the first step,in the development of <br /> a proposed residential single-family home subdivision on the site. Staff <br /> recommends the rezoning proposal as it appears to be consistent with the <br /> long-range plan and in the public's interest. Chair Dalrymple opened the <br /> public hearing for comment. Brandon Harrington, the developer, 121 <br /> Lynbrook Drive, Sanford, NC, answered questions regarding the <br /> development.
