H.~ <br />ii Vi <br />The Board next considered the Budget Estimate and the request <br />for changes in said estimate. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the <br />County Manager be directed to prepare for final adoption, a budget that will: <br />1) Increase the Current Expense appropriation to the schools by $105, 000. 00; <br />2) Provide 5% cost-of-living increases for all County employees; 3) Adjust the <br />estimated tax base from $.925 million to $920 million; 4) Reduce dependency on <br />appropriated Fund Balance and Revenue Sharing; 5) Include $8, 500 for Airport <br />construction; and 6) Accelerate Park Manager position in order to improve San- <br />Lee Park programs and security. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , seconded <br />the proposal. The motion was discussed and debated, following which a vote was <br />held. Commissioners Dossenbach, Matthews and Dotterer voted for the motion and <br />Commissioners Almond and Wicker voted against it. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the meeting be <br />adjourned until 3:00 o'clock p. m. on Wednesday, June 22nd, 1983, to reconvene <br />in the Commissioners Room. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />CHAIRMAN <br />
