a~~x 11 ~r,~~ X16 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />V <br />Monday, November 21st, 1983 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:00 o'clock p, m., on <br />Monday, November 21, 1983, in the Commissioners Room on the second floor <br />of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Those present were Commissioners John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews, <br />Jerry M. Almond and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, <br />Jr., was absent. Chairman John E. Dotterer declared a quorum present and <br />the meeting open for the transaction of business. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business <br />was transacted: <br />The invocation was given by Mr. Walter B. Hartman, Jr., <br />County Manager. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting held on November 7, 1983, <br />were corrected and as corrected, were approved and ordered recorded, upon <br />motion of Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, seconded by Commissioner Bertha <br />L. Matthews, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the petition of the <br />property owners on Green Valley Drive asking that said road be added to the state <br />system be approved. a copy of said resolution being attached to these minutes <br />and made a part hereof by said reference. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the petition of the <br />property owners of the rural road off of Secondary Road No. 1543, known as the <br />"Thomas Kelly" road requesting that said road be added to the state system be <br />approved. A copy of the resolution is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />
