EOOK ~1 WH 312 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />~Tm;x:x~;:x:x,;T=xx:mT~x~:; ~-;~=;=T rm:x=xTx~:xm=;=s:~ ~T;=TT~m=x:;:TT~~=T~ T:~ <br />Monday, January 16, 1984 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:00 o'clock p, m., on <br />Monday, January 16, 1984, in the Commissioners' Room on the second floor <br />of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolinaā€˛ <br />Those present were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, John R. Dossenbach, <br />Jr., John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. Chair- <br />person Bertha L. Matthews declared a quorum present and the meeting open <br />for the transaction of business. <br />Chairperson Bertha L. Matthews presided and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />The invocation was given by Reverend David Early, Pastor of <br />the First Baptist Church in Sanford. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting held on January 3, 1984, <br />were approved and ordered recorded, upon motion of Commissioner John E. <br />Dotterer, which motion was seconded by Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, <br />which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. <br />Mr. Jerry Maddox, Engineer, with the State Department of <br />Transportation, Highway Division, appeared before the Board and presented a <br />map of County Maintained Secondary Road System and requested on behalf of <br />the Department of Transportation, that the map be corrected to delete several <br />roads which do not exist and also to correct the map to show the correct mileage <br />for certain roads. Resolutions requesting abandonment and change were pre- <br />sented for the Board's consideration and copies of which are attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Gordon A. <br />Wicker moved that the resolutions presented by the Department of Transpor- <br />tation be adopted. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker presented a petition which <br />requested the addition to the State System of a road which extends from Lake- <br />hill Drive to Oldham Lake Road, which is approximately 2/10ths of a mile and <br />on which there are eight occupied homes. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker <br />moved that the petition be approved and that the resolution requesting addition to <br />the State System be approved. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />
