v'" <br />5ov 11 ma 352 <br />Mr. Dennis Wicker, Attorney, and Mr. Wilson Cox, Certified <br />Public Accountant, appeared on behalf of Lee Brick and Tile Company, to hear <br />an appeal from the valuation placed upon their property. After hearing the con- <br />tentions of all sides, Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , moved that the <br />kilns and overhead furnace pipes at Lee Brick and Tile Company should be <br />classified as real property. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The payment of costs contract between the office of the Rural <br />Services Delivery Area of the Division of the Employment and Training of the <br />North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Community Development <br />and the Lee County Department of Aging, for a grant in the amount of $29, 440. 00, <br />for the training of home maker health aides under the Joint Training and Partner- <br />ship Act, was presented to the Board for approval and authorization for the <br />Department of Aging to execute the same. Commissioner John E. Dotterer <br />moved that the contract be approved and the Department of Aging authorized to <br />execute same and carry out the program. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The County Manager reported that the Youth Services had received <br />a grant in the amount of $250. 00, for continuation of the FIRST Line Program. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that the Youth Services Program <br />be authorized to accept the grant. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Appropriation Adjustment No. 84 02 06 15, pertaining to the Air- <br />port improvements, was submitted to the Board for its approval. A copy of the <br />appropriation adjustment is attached to these minutes and by this reference made <br />a part hereof. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the appropriation <br />adjustment be approved. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Appropriation Adjustment No. 84 02 06 17, was presented to the <br />Board. This budget amendment would establish a budget for the operation of the <br />water department and changes in the Department of Aging budget. A copy of <br />appropriation adjustment is attached to these minutes and by this reference made <br />a part hereof. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the appropriation <br />adjustment be approved. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Appropriation Adjustment No. 84 02 06 18, was presented to the <br />Board. This budget amendment would establish the line items to spend the <br />$29,400. 00 grant received by the Department of Aging. A copy of that appropria- <br />tion adjustment is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part <br />hereof. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the approval of the appropriation <br />adjustment. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />
