0 0 <br />BOOK ~l PA6E 3s~ <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the <br />Board and presented for their consideration several sub-division plats. Comm- <br />issioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the final plat for Deerfield No. II Subdiv- <br />ision be approved. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. The Board next considered the final <br />plat for Cranes Creek II Subdivision which had been approved on the basis that the <br />developer would pay to install street signs. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, <br />Jr., moved to approve the plat. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that the Planning <br />Board recommend whether or not only public streets should be allowed in sub-division s <br />in Lee County. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote, <br />Commissioners Almond, Dossenbach, Matthews and Wicker voted for it and Comm- <br />issioner Dotterer voted against it. The Chairman declared the motion carried by a <br />majority vote. <br />Mr. Elwin Buchanan appeared before the Board and reviewed the <br />procedure to apply for a community development grant. Commissioner John E. <br />Dotterer moved that the Board authorize the filing of an application for a community <br />development grant. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Meigs Golden, Mr. Dennis Wicker and Dr. Marvin Joyner <br />of Central Carolina Technical College, appeared before the Board and requested <br />permission to establish a capital reserve fund by the transfer of all carry over funds in <br />excess of $25, 000. 00 in the plant operating expense portion of its local budget. <br />This surplus has resulted from CCTC receiving multi-county service area funds <br />for the first time. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the Board authorize <br />the establishment of the Capital Reserve Fund as requested. Commissioner John E. <br />Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board next reviewed the proposals for auctioneering services, <br />and upon motion of Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, which motion was duly second- <br />ed by Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , and unanimously adopted upon a vote, <br />it was resolved to authorize the County Manager to employ the Brick Capital Auction <br />Company, Inc. , to handle the auctioning of surplus property, in accordance with <br />their bid. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the adoption of the following <br />resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the,County of <br />Lee, desires to dispose of certain surplus property of the <br />County; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS THAT: <br />
