BOOK 39 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the <br />Board of County Commissioners of the County of Lee, <br />as follows: <br />(1) The Project is hereby approved in principle, <br />(2) The issuance of revenue bonds by the Authority <br />to finance the Project is hereby approved. <br />(3) The Clerk of the Board of Commissioners is <br />hereby authorized and directed to provide a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the <br />Department of Commerce. <br />(4) This resolution shall take effect immediately <br />upon its passage. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved the passage of the <br />foregoing resolution and Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion, <br />and the resolution was passed by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, John R,' Dossenbach, <br />Jr. , John E. Dotterer, Gordon A. Wicker, and Bertha <br />L. Matthews <br />NAYS: None <br />Mr. J. Elwin Buchanan, Grants Administrator, appeared before <br />the Board and gave a report on the projects being supervised by his office. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the Department of <br />Aging's name be changed to the Lee County Department For The Aging and that <br />the name of the Board be changed to the Lee County Department For The Aging <br />Board. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Don McLaughlin, Director of the Parks and Recreation <br />Department appeared before the Board and presented an agreement between the <br />Town of Broadway and the Parks and Recreation Commission, under the terms <br />of which the County would lease from the Town of Broadway, sites for tennis <br />courts. A copy of the agreement is attached to these minutes and by this reference <br />made a part hereof. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the agreement <br />between the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Town of Broadway be <br />approved and that the Parks and Recreation Commission be authorized to proceed <br />with the project, Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />
