rl <br />Y, <br />300!( aY Md 46 <br />H <br />MINUTES OF THE ADJOURN= REGULAR <br />MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR LEE COUNTY, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Thursday, March 22nd, 1984 <br />TTTmTx:~~„TTTT,r.,Tx°x,,,.T„=~•T,=~~,:•mT~T, , „TT <br />The adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners <br />for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:30 o'clock p. m. , <br />on Thursday, March 22nd, 1984, in the Commissioners Room on the second <br />floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, <br />in accordance with the motion of adjournment. Those present were Commiss- <br />ioners Jerry M. Almond, John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. Dotterer, Bertha <br />L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. <br />P ~ <br />was transacted: <br />Chairman Bertha L. Matthews presided and the following business <br />The Board discussed and considered budget procedures. <br />The Board next considered a lease agreement between the City <br />of Sanford and County of Lee and Central Carolina Aviation, Inc., and approval <br />of an employment contract between Sanford-Lee County Airport Commission <br />and John R. Ogburn, as Manager of the Sanford-Lee County Airport. After <br />discussion, Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the lease agreement <br />by approved and that the Chairman and Clerk be authorized to execute it for and <br />on behalf of the County, provided that the City of Sanford concurs in the execution <br />of said lease, and that the resolution authorizing the Sanford-Lee County Airport <br />Commission to employ Mr. Ogburn as its Manager for five years, a copy of <br />which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, be <br />approved. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, next appeared before the <br />Board on the matter pertaining to the final plat of Sedgemoor II Subdivision at <br />Carolina Trace. Mr. Barefoot reviewed the fact that Carolina Trace is continuing <br />to complete the improvements and that the Carolina Bank had issued a letter <br />extending the existing bond covering the improvements required in this Subdivision. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the final plat of Sedgemoor II Subdivision <br />be approved. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The proposal concerning the County collecting the taxes for the <br />City of Sanford, was discussed and reviewed. The County Manager's proposal was <br />approved, upon motion of Commissioner John E. Dotterer, seconded by Commiss- <br />
