mass shootings. Commissioner Knecht moved to update the ordinance to reflect current federal <br />and state guidelines to bring it into compliance. Commissioner Dalrymple requested to hold a <br />public hearing regarding the ordinance change. Dr. Crumpton stated staff will also submit a <br />personnel policy for the Board's consideration. The Board discussed having the public hearing <br />in October following presentation of the ordinance at the September 16th meeting. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to call the question. Upon a vote on the motion to update the <br />ordinance to bring into compliance with federal and state regulations and to provide it for the <br />Board's consideration at a future date, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Del Palazzo, Dodson, Knecht, Reives, Sharpe, Smith <br />Nay: None <br />Chair Dalrymple ruled the motion carried unanimously. <br />VIII. MANAGERS' REPORTS <br />A. Monthly Financial Report for June 2019. <br />Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter presented the monthly financial <br />report for June 2019. No action was taken. <br />B. County Managers' Monthly Report for August 2019. <br />County Manager John Crumpton presented his monthly report for August 2019, a copy <br />of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. No action was <br />taken. Commissioner Reives asked to make available the information regarding the rating of <br />Tramway Fire Department available for the public on the website. <br />IX. COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS <br />X. CLOSED SESSION <br />Commissioner Dodson moved to go into Closed Session per N.C. General Statute § 143- <br />318.11(a)(4) to discuss matters related to the location or expansion of business and per N.C. <br />General Statute § 143-318.11(a)(5) to discuss the acquisition of real property. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Del Palazzo, Dodson, Knecht, Reives, Sharpe, Smith <br />Nay: None <br />Chair Dalrymple ruled the motion had carried and the Board went into Closed Session. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Upon return from Closed Session and with no further business to come before the <br />Board, Commissioner Sharpe moved to adjourn the meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Del Palazzo, Dodson, Knecht, Reives, Sharpe, Smith <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. <br />Page 819 <br />
