9001( 11 mu - 446 0 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Lee, as follows: (1) The Project is hereby approved in principle. (2) The issuance of revenue bonds by the Author- ity to finance the Project is hereby approved. (3) The Board hereby requests and recommends that the Project be approved by the Secretary of the Department, notwithstanding the fact that the Company does not pay an average weekly manufacturing wage above the average weekly manufacturing wage paid in Lee County. (4) The Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized and directed to provide a certified copy of this resolution to the Department. (5) This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the passage of the foregoing resolution and Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion, and the resolution was passed by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker NAYS: None Sheriff Holt appeared before the Board and requested authority to employ or hire a replacement for an administrative assistant and to allow this employee to begin his employment in a Step 2 position. The matter was discussed, following which Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the Sheriff be given such authority. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The Parks and Recreation Commission requested authority for the County to enter into a contract with the Temple Theatre Company for the operation of a Thratre Arts Program, in keeping with the contract, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. The matter was discussed, following which Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the contract be approved and the officials be authorized to execute said contract for and on behalf of the County.
