9001( 11 mu - 446 <br />0 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the <br />Board of County Commissioners of the County of Lee, as <br />follows: <br />(1) The Project is hereby approved in principle. <br />(2) The issuance of revenue bonds by the Author- <br />ity to finance the Project is hereby approved. <br />(3) The Board hereby requests and recommends <br />that the Project be approved by the Secretary of the <br />Department, notwithstanding the fact that the Company does <br />not pay an average weekly manufacturing wage above the <br />average weekly manufacturing wage paid in Lee County. <br />(4) The Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized <br />and directed to provide a certified copy of this resolution <br />to the Department. <br />(5) This resolution shall take effect immediately <br />upon its passage. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the passage of the <br />foregoing resolution and Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion, <br />and the resolution was passed by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, John R. Dossenbach, <br />Jr., John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and <br />Gordon A. Wicker <br />NAYS: None <br />Sheriff Holt appeared before the Board and requested authority <br />to employ or hire a replacement for an administrative assistant and to allow <br />this employee to begin his employment in a Step 2 position. The matter was <br />discussed, following which Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the <br />Sheriff be given such authority. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Parks and Recreation Commission requested authority for <br />the County to enter into a contract with the Temple Theatre Company for the <br />operation of a Thratre Arts Program, in keeping with the contract, a copy of <br />which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. The <br />matter was discussed, following which Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that <br />the contract be approved and the officials be authorized to execute said contract <br />for and on behalf of the County. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />1\ <br />
