not 11456 <br />(a) Final Plat of the Lee County Industrial Park in West <br />Sanford Township. <br />(b) Abbreviated final plat of Carolina Trace Subdivision on <br />4. 3 acres tract. <br />(c) Sketch Plan of C. W. Womack, which was approved by <br />Planning Board on basis that future subdivision of the land would have to be <br />approved by the Planning Board and Board of Commissioners. <br />(d) Final Plat of Frank E. Sineath Subdivision. <br />The maps were reviewed and discussed individually, following <br />which Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , moved that all of the subdivision <br />maps be approved on the same basis they were approved by the Planning Board. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br />adopted by a majority vote. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond voted against the <br />motion, while the others voted in favor of its adoption. <br />Mr. Barefoot then recommended to the Board that it hold a public <br />hearing on the requirement of paved roads in subdivisions in Lee County. After <br />discussion, Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that the Board conduct <br />a joint public hearing on May 21st on the question of whether or not subdivision <br />regulations should require that all streets be paved. Commissioner John E. <br />Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Martin T. Marks, appeared before the Board and explained <br />the program which the Center for Independent Living is sponsoring. Commissioner <br />Gordon A. Wicker moved that the Mental Health Department look at the type of <br />program being offered by the Center, very seriously. Commissioner John R. <br />Dossenbach, Jr. , seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Mr. Bobby Johnson, Landfill Supervisor, appeared before the <br />Board and advised the Board of the tremendous increase in volume of refuse <br />which the increase in industrial activity has produced. This means the land is <br />being used at a faster rate and necessitates the employment of additional help or <br />overtime work for the regular employees. Upon motion made, duly seconded <br />and unanimously adopted, it was resolved to authorize the County Attorney to <br />assist in negotiating for additional property in order to expedite the matter. <br />The matter of the assessment of discovered property of Lee <br />Brick & Tile Company, was presented to the Board. It appearing that the discovery <br />was made on certain property that was partially assessed as real property, resulting <br />in some real ambiguities concerning the proper method of listing. Commissioner <br />Jerry M. Almond moved that the County assess the property in question by <br />assessing in full the total discovery of $21, 727. 36 with penalties of $4, 170. 85, <br />for a total of $25, 898. 21, but adjusting the assessment of penalties on that <br />
