0 0 <br />aooK 11 Qn~F 51Q <br />The County Manager's report indicated that Mrs. Wanda Thomas, <br />nominee for Register of Deeds, had agreed in writing, that her starting salary <br />would be at the level established for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 1984, and <br />that Mrs. Pattie McGilvary could receive the 4% cost of living increase without <br />it increasing her salary when and if she took office. In light of that representation, <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that Mrs. McGilvary be paid the <br />4% increase and the budget.be amended accordingly. Commissioner John E. <br />Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Chairman noted the receipt of a letter from several residents <br />in the Courtland Acres Development seeking the transfer of mailboxes to the south <br />side of N. C. Highway No. 78. <br />The Chairman read a proclamation from Governor Hunt outlining <br />that Lee County was within the area which had been declared eligible for assist- <br />ance through the Farmers Home Administration. <br />There being no further business to come before the session, it <br />was adjourned sine die. <br />BERTHA L.
