g00K 11 rt,c_ 521 <br />C1 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the <br />County of Lee consider it advisable to conduct a meeting <br />for the purpose of giving consideration to the closing of <br />that portion of Dogwood Street which lies East of Lot No. <br />8A to a point where a line drawn from the southeast corner <br />of Lot No. 14 intersects the northeast corner of Lot No. 7 <br />for a distance of approximately 110 feet. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board <br />of Commissioners of the County of Lee, meeting in regular <br />session: <br />1. That a meeting will be held at 7:00 o'clock p. M. , <br />on the 20thday of August, 1984, in the Commissioners Room, <br />to consider a resolution closing that portion of Dogwood Street <br />which lies East of Lot No. 8A to a point where a line drawn <br />from the southeast corner of Lot No. 14 intersects the north- <br />east corner of Lot No. 7 for a distance of approximately 110 <br />feet. <br />2. The Clerk to the Board of Commissioners is hereby <br />directed to publish notice of such meeting once a week for four <br />weeks in the Sanford Daily Herald. <br />3. The Clerk to the Board of Commissioners is further <br />directed to transmit, by registered letter to each owner of <br />property abutting upon that portion of said street sought to be <br />closed, notice of such meeting. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the request of the <br />West Sanford Rural Fire Department for paving of the entry way to their new fire <br />station be approved and forwarded to the Highway Division for consideration. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. David Blaha from the Triangle J Council of Governments, <br />appeared before the Board and presented a program on farm land protection. <br />The Board then observed a recess during which members of the <br />Lemon Springs Extension Home Makers Club served refreshments. <br />Certified rosters of the fire departments for Carolina Trace, <br />West Sanford, Cape Fear, Deep River and Tramway Rural Fire Departments, <br />were presented to the Board for certification. The rosters were examined, <br />following which Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the rosters, copies of . <br />which are attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, be certified <br />
