g00K 11 rt,c_ 521 C1 WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee consider it advisable to conduct a meeting for the purpose of giving consideration to the closing of that portion of Dogwood Street which lies East of Lot No. 8A to a point where a line drawn from the southeast corner of Lot No. 14 intersects the northeast corner of Lot No. 7 for a distance of approximately 110 feet. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee, meeting in regular session: 1. That a meeting will be held at 7:00 o'clock p. M. , on the 20thday of August, 1984, in the Commissioners Room, to consider a resolution closing that portion of Dogwood Street which lies East of Lot No. 8A to a point where a line drawn from the southeast corner of Lot No. 14 intersects the north- east corner of Lot No. 7 for a distance of approximately 110 feet. 2. The Clerk to the Board of Commissioners is hereby directed to publish notice of such meeting once a week for four weeks in the Sanford Daily Herald. 3. The Clerk to the Board of Commissioners is further directed to transmit, by registered letter to each owner of property abutting upon that portion of said street sought to be closed, notice of such meeting. Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the request of the West Sanford Rural Fire Department for paving of the entry way to their new fire station be approved and forwarded to the Highway Division for consideration. Mr. David Blaha from the Triangle J Council of Governments, appeared before the Board and presented a program on farm land protection. The Board then observed a recess during which members of the Lemon Springs Extension Home Makers Club served refreshments. Certified rosters of the fire departments for Carolina Trace, West Sanford, Cape Fear, Deep River and Tramway Rural Fire Departments, were presented to the Board for certification. The rosters were examined, following which Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the rosters, copies of . which are attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, be certified
