y SooK .11 . s 54€ MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA T ;""1".,,,,,, l- Monday, August 20, 1984 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 6:30 o'clock p, m. , on Monday, August 20, 1984, in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. 'Those present were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews, and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman Bertha L. Matthews announced that a quorum was present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. was transacted: Jr. Chairman Bertha L. Matthews presided and the following business The invocation was given by County Manager, Walter B. Hartman, Mr. Don McLaughlin, Parks and Recreation Director, was recog- nized for accumulating ten certified training credits within a thirty months period and was presented a certificate by representatives of the North Carolina Parks and Recreation Training Academy. Mr. Nathan Crissman, Tax Collector, appeared before the Board and requested permission to initiate in rem tax foreclosure procedures on the 1983 delinquent list. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that the Tax Collector be given such permission. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. A representative of The Lee County Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority appeared before the Board and advised the Board of the Authority's adoption of a bond resolution authorizing the issuance of industrial revenue bonds in the aggregate principal amount of $5, 000, 000 and the execution and delivery of financing documents pertaining to the financing of industrial facilities in Lee County for Trion, Inc. (the "Company").
