y <br />SooK .11 . s 54€ <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />T ;""1".,,,,,, l- <br />Monday, August 20, 1984 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 6:30 o'clock p, m. , on Monday, <br />August 20, 1984, in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. 'Those present <br />were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. <br />Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews, and Gordon A. Wicker. Chairman Bertha L. <br />Matthews announced that a quorum was present and the meeting open for the <br />transaction of business. <br />was transacted: <br />Jr. <br />Chairman Bertha L. Matthews presided and the following business <br />The invocation was given by County Manager, Walter B. Hartman, <br />Mr. Don McLaughlin, Parks and Recreation Director, was recog- <br />nized for accumulating ten certified training credits within a thirty months period <br />and was presented a certificate by representatives of the North Carolina Parks <br />and Recreation Training Academy. <br />Mr. Nathan Crissman, Tax Collector, appeared before the Board <br />and requested permission to initiate in rem tax foreclosure procedures on the <br />1983 delinquent list. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that the <br />Tax Collector be given such permission. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />A representative of The Lee County Industrial Facilities and <br />Pollution Control Financing Authority appeared before the Board and advised the <br />Board of the Authority's adoption of a bond resolution authorizing the issuance of <br />industrial revenue bonds in the aggregate principal amount of $5, 000, 000 and the <br />execution and delivery of financing documents pertaining to the financing of <br />industrial facilities in Lee County for Trion, Inc. (the "Company"). <br />
