0 <br />11 ACI ~ 574. <br />Section 4. RECREATIONAL ACI'IVITILSKAND F CILIT"IE ES <br />• 4.01 BATHING AND SWIMMING. <br />(a) No persons, regardless of age or manner of dress, shall swim, <br />bathe, or wade in any waters or waterways in or adjacent to <br />any Park, except in such waters and at such places and times <br />as are provided therefor and in compliance with this Ordinance. <br />(b) In each and every bathing area all persons shall be covered <br />with bathing suit which conforms to commonly accepted <br />standards. No person shall dress or undress in any Park Area <br />except in such bathing houses or structures as provided <br />and maintained by the park for that purpose. <br />(c) No person, shall wash or be washed with soap or other <br />cleaners in bathing areas. <br />4.02 BOATING. <br />(a) No person shall operate any board, canoe, raft, or other <br />watercraft (except toys), whether motor-powered, or not, <br />upon any park watercourse, lake, or pond except at such <br />places as are.or may he designated for such use or purpose. <br />(b) No Watercraft shall be launched, anchored, beached, or re- <br />moved from any patk Waters except at such places as are <br />designated for such use or purpose. <br />(c) No person shall navigate, direct or handle any craft in such <br />manner as to unjustifiably or unnecessarily endanger the <br />occupants of any other craft. All motor boats must be kept <br />out of the way of sailboats, rowboats, canoes, or other un- <br />_ motorized vessels. All boat owners or operators shall lend <br />emergency assistance, if such be required by other boats in <br />difficulties. <br />• (d) Only electric motorized boats shall be permitted on park Waters. <br />(e) No boat, operating for hire, or carrying passengers for money, <br />or contemplating same, shall land or receive such passengers <br />at any dock or landing.place or anchorage in a Park juris- <br />diction except by special permit. <br />4.03 PICNIC AREAS AND USE <br />(a) No picnicking shall be done in any Park Areas except such <br />as may be set apart and designated for that purpose. The <br />Park Manager and his assistants will regulate the activities <br />in such Areas when so required to safeguard park property and <br />to secure the maximum use for the comfort and convenience of <br />all. Visitors shall comply With the directions given to <br />achieve this end. <br />(b) Use of the individual fireplaces, together with tables and <br />benches, follows generally the rule of "first come, first <br />served" except in areas where reservations may be taken <br />and a fee charged. <br />(c) It shall not be permitted to build campfires anywhere within <br />the park other than in fireplaces, grills, and camps toves <br />within the established picnic and campground areas. Campfires <br />should not be left unattended for any length of time unless <br />they are "dead" out. Wilderness campers are encouraged to <br />une packstoves in place of wood fires. <br />-5- <br />• <br />
