<br />Section 3. PARK PROPERTY

<br />3.01 BUILDINGS AND OTHER PROPERTY. No person shall willfully
<br />mark, deface, or injure in any way, or displace, remove, or tamper with,
<br />any park buildings, bridges, tables, benches, fireplaces, railings, paving
<br />or paving material, waterlines or other public utilities or parts or ap-
<br />purtenances thereof, park signs, notices or placards (whether temporary or
<br />permanent), monuments, stakes, posts, or other boundary markers, or other
<br />structures or equipment, facilities or park property or appurtenances whatso-
<br />ever,either, real or personal.
<br />3.02 TREES, SHRUBBERY, LAWNS, ETC. Trees, shrubbery, lawns, etc.
<br />are property assets of the Park and no person shall cut, carve, or injure
<br />the bark, or break off limbs or branches or mutilate inaoy_way.or-pick-the-
<br />flowers or seeds of any tree or plant. Nor shall any person litter, dig in
<br />or otherwise disturb grass areas, or any other way injure or impair the
<br />natural beauty or usefulness of any area, nor shall he pile debris or ma-
<br />terial of any kind on or about any tree or plant, or attach any rope, wire,

<br />or other contrivance thereto, whether temporary or permanent in character or
<br />use except that scientists or students of botany may procure from the Park
<br />Manager or Director special permission to collect plant speciments.
<br />3.03 WILD ANIMALS, BIRDS, ETC. No person shall molest, harm,
<br />frighten, kill, trap, hunt, chase, capture, shoot, feed, or throw missiles
<br />at any mammal, bird, reptile, or amphibian; nor shall he remove or have in
<br />his possession the eggs, nests, or young of any wild animal. Parks are
<br />sanctuaries for wildlife of all kinds. Fishing is permited in any park
<br />area unless otherwise designated and only under the provisions, regulations,
<br />and rules of the Fish and Wildlife Resources Commission of the State of
<br />North Carolina's Department of Natural Resources and Community Development.
<br />3.04 CONTRABAND. All game, animals, fish, fowl, birds, and other
<br />acquatic life, hunted killed, taken or destroyed, bought, sold, bartered or
<br />had in possession, contrary to any of the provisions hereof, shall be sub-
<br />ject to seizure and confiscation and shall be turned over to the Department
<br />for disposal.
