qov 11 F", H 581 <br />The Board next considered a request to proclaim the week of <br />October 1, 1984 through October 6, 1984, as "Lee County Agricultural Fair <br />Week". Upon motion of Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, duly seconded by <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer and unanimously adopted, the Chairman was <br />authorized to issue a proclamation designating the week of October 1, 1984, <br />through October 6, 1984, as "Lee County Agricultural Fair Week". <br />The Board next considered the budget amendment entitled <br />"Appropriation Adjustment #9/17/84/06", a copy of which is attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner John E. <br />Dotterer moved that the budget amendment be approved and adopted. Comm- <br />issioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a vote, <br />Commissioners Almond, Dossenbach, Dotterer and Matthews voted for it <br />and Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker voted against it. The Chairman dec- <br />lared the motion adopted by a majority vote. <br />The Board, at this time, recognized and presented Certificates <br />of Recognition and Appreciation to Mr. Charles Alexander, Judge William A. <br />Christian, Mr. James E. Clark, Ms. Sharon Cox, Mr. Vesper Cox, Mr. Stacy <br />Grant, Mr. Howard McGinn, and Mr. Fred Wicker. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the <br />Board and presented the abbreviated final plat of the Jesse Clarence Stone Sub- <br />division, for consideration by the Board. The Planning Board had recommended <br />approval of the Plat and upon motion of Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, second- <br />ed by Commissioner John E. Dotterer, the Board unanimously approved the plat. <br />The Board next discussed use of the County owned Oldsmobile <br />sedan, and upon motion of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, seconded by Comm- <br />issioner John E. Dotterer, it was unanimously resolved that the use of this <br />automobile may be extended to the Department of Social Services, who would <br />sign for the vehicle when it was available. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the Board proceed <br />to hold a public hearing on the amendment to the Cable Television Ordinance. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion. After all persons who <br />desired to speak had been heard, Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that <br />the public hearing be closed. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond <br />moved that the amendments to the Cable Television Ordinance be approved. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote, Comm- <br />issioners Almond, Dotterer and Matthews voted for it and Commissioners <br />Dossenbach and Wicker voted against it. The Chairman ruled the Ordinance <br />had passed at its second reading and was duly adopted. <br />
