a
eons 11 ?n.r 593
The question of the charge to be made for start up of intra-
venous fluids by ambulance personnel who have received Advance Life Support
certification was discussed. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the
charge be set at $7. 50 for such a start up. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach,
Jr. , seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted.
The Board next considered re-classification of Emergency
Medical Technicians who have completed the Advance Life Support training.
Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that a classification be established for
such personnel which is two grades higher than that for EMT's who have not
received such training. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., seconded
the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted.
Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker brought up for discussion,
the water system and its value at Owl's Nest, but no formal action was taken.
Commissioner John E. Dotterer asked about the employees
hospitalization plan and Mr. Hartman, the County Manager, explained that a
plan had been devised and would be presented to the Board in more detail at
a later meeting.
Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., brought up the need
for the County to have some type of gift to present to people when they are
recognized. Chairman Matthews appointed Commissioner Dossenbach and her-
self as a committee to work on some suitable gift.
Commissioner Dossenbach suggested that planning be initiated
for some type of Billy Ray Cameron Day. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker
recommended that the City of Sanford officials be included. Chairman Matthews
said she and Commissioner Dossenbach would meet with the city and formulate
some plans.
County Manager Hartman reminded the Board there would be a
luncheon on November 21, 1984, in recognition of Commissioner Gordon A.
Wicker's service and the Register of Deeds, Mrs. Pattie Mae McGilvery's
service, and that all should note this on their calendars so that they might attend.
THERE BEING no further business to come before the session, it
was adjourned, sine die.
CHAIRM
