3.0 RESP I <br />:oo 11 'A ~ <br />3.1 It shall be the responsibility of the County <br />Manager's Office to coordinate the provision of <br />aids to county departments, and to maintain all <br />pertinent program records. <br />3.2 It shall be the responsibility of the County <br />Manager's Office to communicate with all county <br />departments who may feel an aid is needed to enable <br />vision impaired/blind citizens participation in <br />county services. <br />3.3 It shall be the responsibility of the vision <br />impaired/blind person or his/her representative <br />and/or the requesting county department.to notify <br />the County Manager's-office 48 hours in advance of <br />the time an aid.is needed. ' <br />3.4 It shall be the responsibility of each county <br />department to determine the needs for aids for the <br />vision Impaired/blind individuals seeking County <br />services. <br />4.0 PROCEDURES: <br />4.1 A vision impaired/blind person or his/her represen- <br />tative may request services directly from the <br />County Manager's Office or the county department <br />where services shall be provided by making such <br />request at least 48 hours prior to the needed <br />service. <br />4.2 The County Manager's office shall'review the re- <br />quest and, if approved, shall make' the necessary <br />arrangements <br />4.3 Requests for other aids will also be evaluated by <br />the County Manager's office. Upon approval by <br />County Manager's Office necessary arrangements will <br />be made to provide the aid during the requested <br />time. <br />SECTION V. NON-AMBULATORY CITIZENS <br />1.0 POLICY <br />It shall be the policy of the County of Lee to assure <br />non-ambulatory citizens have access to: <br />a. Information and participation in any programs and <br />services of the County of Lee. <br />b. Access to information or input into administrative <br />matters and/or proceedings before 'any board, <br />commission, or committee appointed by the governing <br />body of the County of Lee. <br />
