60n;< 91 PACE 619 <br />Mrs. Reggie Durham of the Department for the Aging, appeared <br />before the Board and recommended that the Board accept a grant to update the <br />Transportation Development Plan. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., <br />moved that the grant by the Department of Transportation be accepted and the <br />Chairman and Clerk be authorized to execute the agreement with NCDUT. Comm- <br />issioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the gift of a 1974 <br />Ford two door sedan (Serial No. 4N58H105999) by Mid-State Ford, Inc. , for use <br />by the Sheriff's Department in law enforcement endeavors be accepted. Comm- <br />issioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />The Chairman announced there would be a reception honoring Mrs. <br />Pattie Mae McGilvary, Register of Deeds, on Monday, November 26, 1984, <br />between 5 - 7 p.m. , and that the Board has been invited to attend. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , reported that the <br />Ambulance Advisory Committee had recommended that the limits of the service <br />area be extended to 80 miles primarily to permit trips to Baptist Hospital in <br />Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the <br />recommendations of the Ambulance Advisory Committee be accepted and approved <br />and that the limits of the Ambulance Service be extended to 80 miles. Comm- <br />issioner Jerry M.
