60n;< 91 PACE 619 Mrs. Reggie Durham of the Department for the Aging, appeared before the Board and recommended that the Board accept a grant to update the Transportation Development Plan. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that the grant by the Department of Transportation be accepted and the Chairman and Clerk be authorized to execute the agreement with NCDUT. Comm- issioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the gift of a 1974 Ford two door sedan (Serial No. 4N58H105999) by Mid-State Ford, Inc. , for use by the Sheriff's Department in law enforcement endeavors be accepted. Comm- issioner John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. The Chairman announced there would be a reception honoring Mrs. Pattie Mae McGilvary, Register of Deeds, on Monday, November 26, 1984, between 5 - 7 p.m. , and that the Board has been invited to attend. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , reported that the Ambulance Advisory Committee had recommended that the limits of the service area be extended to 80 miles primarily to permit trips to Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the recommendations of the Ambulance Advisory Committee be accepted and approved and that the limits of the Ambulance Service be extended to 80 miles. Comm- issioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. There being no further business to come before the session, it was adjourned sine die.
