ARTICLE V <br />PLAN ADMINISTRATOR <br />5.01 The Finance Officer of the County is hereby designated <br />as the Plan Administrator to serve until resignation or <br />removal by the County Manager and appointment of a successor. <br />5.02 The Plan Administrator shall distribute to each Parti- <br />cipant within ninety (90) days after such Participant becomes <br />a Participant in the Plan, a description of the benefits <br />provided by the Plan and a form of request for such benefits. <br />ARTICLE VI <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />6.01 The Board of Commissioners of the County may amend or <br />terminate this Plan at any time by duly adopted resolution. <br />6.02 Except where otherwise indicated by the context, any <br />masculine terminology used herein shall also include the <br />feminine and vice versa, and the definition of any term <br />herein in the singular shall also include the plural, and <br />vice versa. <br />6.03 This Plan shall be effective as of November 5. 1984. <br />6.04 This Plan shall not be deemed to constitute a contract <br />between the County and any Participant or to be a considera- <br />tion or an inducement for the employment of any participant <br />or Employee. Nothing contained in this Plan shall be deemed <br />to give any Participant or Employee the right to be retained <br />in the service of the County or to interfere with the right <br />of the County to discharge any Participant or Employee at any <br />time regardless of the effect which such discharge will have <br />upon him as a Participant of this Plan. <br />6.05 This Plan shall be construed and enforced according to <br />the laws of the State of North Carolina, other than its laws <br />respecting choice of law, to the extent not preempted by any <br />federal law. <br />
