® QooK 11 ~c_ 631` <br />Mr. Chip Albano, the representative of an insurance company, <br />appeared before the Board and requested permission to solicit the County's em- <br />ployees to sell accident insurance. The matter of solicitation of County employees <br />was discussed and Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that consid- <br />eration of the matter of solicitation of County employees be tabled until a later <br />meeting of the Board. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. The Chairman ruled the matter was <br />tabled. <br />It was announced to the Board that Dr. Robert Patterson had <br />resigned his position on the Emergency Medical Service and on the Ambulance <br />Advisory Board. The resignations were accepted with regret. <br />It was announced that Mrs. Judi Marsh would be resigning from <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission due to her election to the Board of Education. <br />It being the final meeting during the term of Commissioner Gordon <br />A. Wicker, Chairman Bert L. Matthews presented him with a certificate recog- <br />nizing his sixteen years of continuous service on the Board of Commissioners. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the Board go into <br />executive session to discuss a personnel matter. Commissioner John R. Dossen- <br />bach, Jr. , seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />After the executive session, Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , moved that <br />the executive session be closed. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the County Personnel <br />Committee be asked to consider the matter of solicitation of County employees <br />by business agents and to develop and recommend a policy to the Board for its <br />consideration. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote, Commissioners Almond, Dossenbach, Dotterer, and Matthews voted <br />for adoption and Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker voted against adoption. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker brought up for discussion, the <br />publication of the Health Services Agency and the items which pertain to Lee County. <br />There being no further business to come before the session, it was <br />adjourned sine die. <br />BERTHA L.
