. <br />63" <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, December 3, 1984 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Monday, December 3, 1984, at <br />9:00 o'clock a.m., in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those Commission- <br />ers whose term had not expired were present, namely, Commissioners Jerry M. <br />Almond, John R. Dossenbach, Jr., and Bertha L. Matthews. The terms of <br />Commissioners John E. Dotterer and Gordon A. Wicker having expired and <br />Mr. Raymond C. Cox, Jr, and Dr. John E. Dotterer having been certified as <br />having been duly elected to the office of Commissioner at the last General <br />Election they were present and presented themselves for their oath of office. <br />County Attorney, Kenneth R. Hoyle, presented Commissioner John E. Dotterer <br />to his Honor William A. Christian, Judge of the District Court Division, Eleventh <br />District, who administered the oath of office. Copies of the oaths are attached to <br />these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. County Attorney Hoyle <br />then presented Mr. Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , and Judge Christian administered the oath <br />of office to him. Copy of Commissioner Cox's oath of office is attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Following their oath of office, <br />Commissioners Cox and Dotterer joined Commissioners Almond, Dossenbach and <br />Matthews at the Commissioners table and participated in the induction of office of <br />the public officials elected at the last General Election. County Attorney Hoyle <br />presented Mrs. Wanda K. Thomas who had been certified as elected to the office <br />of Register of Deeds. Judge Christian administered the oath of office and a copy <br />of such oath is attached to these minutes and by such reference made a part hereof. <br />County Attorney Hoyle presented Mrs. Judi Marsh and Messrs. J. Glenn Edwards, <br />Louis W. Powell and Beady B. Waddell for their oath of office as members of the <br />Lee County Board of Education. Judge Christian administered the oath of office to <br />each. Copies of their oaths of office are attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. <br />Mr. John T. Dalrymple who had been elected to the position of <br />Supervisor of the Soil and Water Conservation District and Mr. G. Mack Gilliam <br />who had been appointed to the Soil and Water Conservation District by the State <br />Soil and Water Conservation Commission were presented for their oath of office. <br />Judge William A. Christian administered the.oath of office and copies of which are <br />attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Following the <br />
