500 Ii >6 652 <br />0 <br />or exception shall be made in the instances <br />where the population figures of two or more governmental <br />units reflect an overlapping population. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Ambulance Service Procedures Policy revision dated November <br />5, 1984, was presented to the Board and considered. Commissioner John R. <br />Dossenbach, Jr. , reviewed the procedures and noted the changes which had been <br />recommended. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the revised <br />Ambulance Service Policy Procedures be adopted to provide the Lee County <br />Ambulance personnel criteria for responding to calls for assistance in a more <br />uniform and equitable manner. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The agreement for mutual aid regarding Emergency Medical <br />Services in the State of North Carolina, was presented to the Board for its con- <br />sideration. After discussion and review, it was approved as to form, upon motion <br />of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, which motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Raymond C. Cox, Jr., and which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that Commissioner John <br />R. Dossenbach, Jr., be designated as the voting delegate for Lee County at the North <br />Carolina Association of County Commissioners Legislative Goals Conference to be <br />held at the Raddison High Point in High Point, North Carolina. Commissioner <br />Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that Mr. James R. <br />Thomas, Mr. Lonnie M. Thomas and Ms. Grace Freeman, be appointed to <br />serve on the Broadway Planning Board. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the Board <br />authorize the taking of bids for a compactor for use at the Landfill. Commiss- <br />ioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the Board proceed <br />with planning for the County's needs for buildings in the future, Commissioner <br />Raymond C. Cox, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />
