64` <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />Monday, .e~,:e:e:e-::e,::;; ~ ~;~::::-:9o;:Bmm~-;;;:; ;-~::e::~t•-:a:d:~d: <br />v <br />December 17, 1984 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Monday, December 17, 1984, at <br />7:00 o'clock p, m., in the Commissioners' Room on the second floor of the <br />County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those <br />present were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John <br />R. Dossenbach, Jr, , John E. Dotterer, and Bertha L. Matthews, The Chair- <br />man declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of <br />business. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business <br />was transacted: <br />The meeting was opened by a pray given by the County Attorney <br />K. R. Hoyle. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the draft of the <br />minutes of the regular meeting held on December 3, 1984, be approved as the <br />official minutes of said meeting and be recorded. Commissioner Raymond C. <br />Cox, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the Division of <br />Highways be requested to pave the driveways or access area in front of the Lemon <br />Springs Volunteer Fire Department. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond brought up for discussion the <br />prevailing policy about State maintenance of subdivision roads, <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the <br />Board and presented abbreviated Final Plats of the Hoover Johnson Subdivision <br />and the Monroe Matthews Subdivision for their consideration. The Planning <br />Board had approved both maps and recommended approval by the Board of <br />Commissioners. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that both maps be <br />approved. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., seconded the m otion, and <br />upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />
