6u PAS[ MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Monday, February 4, 1985 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Monday, February 4, 1985, at 9:30 o'clock a, m, , in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, Those present were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John E. Dotter and Bertha L. Matthews. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr„ was absent. Chairman John E. Dotterer announced that a quorum was present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by County Manager Walter B. Hartman, Jr. The minutes of the regular meeting held on January 22, 1985, were approved and ordered recorded, upon motion of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. Mr. Elwin Buchanan, Grants Administrator, appeared before the Board and reviewed the report of his department on the projects under his supervision. Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the Board and presented for the Board's consideration, a resolution requesting the North Carolina Division of Highways to adopt and use the same names on secon- dary roads as those which had been previously adopted by the Board of Comm- l issioners. The matter was discussed, following which Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the motion, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, be adopted. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted.
