aorz~ 11vasE 70V <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />i Monday, March 18th, 1985 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Monday, March 18, 1985, <br />at 6:30 o'clock p.m., in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the <br />County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those <br />present when the meeting opened were Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , <br />John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. Dotterer, and Bertha L. Matthews, Comm- <br />issioner Jerry M. Almond was absent but joined the meeting shortly after it was <br />opened. Chairman John E. Dotterer announced that a quorum was present and <br />the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman John E. Dotterer <br />presided and the following business was transacted: <br />The meeting was opened with a prayer given by the Clerk, <br />Kenneth R. Hoyle. <br />The Chairman asked for corrections, additions or deletions to <br />the draft of the minutes for the regular meeting held on February 18, 1985. The <br />draft was adopted as and for the official minutes of the meeting upon motion of <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. <br />The Board next considered the offer of the Department of <br />Transportation to perform patching of pavement failures and resurfacing of the <br />two (2) ramps at the Lee County Rescue Squad and Ambulance Service Building <br />on a cost reimbursement basis. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond joined the <br />meeting during consideration of this matter and participated in the further <br />deliberations of the Board. A motion was made by Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews and seconded by Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , for the <br />adoption of the following resolution, and upon being put to a vote, was duly <br />adopted: <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commiss- <br />ioners has requested the Department of Transportation to <br />perform the following highway related work for said Board <br />of Commissioners on a cost reimbursement basis in accord- <br />ance with Section 2E:0501 and 2E:0502 of Title 19A of the <br />
