Dossenbach, Jr., moved that the Board proceed,to hold a <br />public hearing upon the Community Development application. Commissioner Jerry <br />M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Chair- <br />man Dotterer announced that the floor was open and the Board would hear all inter- <br />ested parties. Mr. Buchanan reviewed the essential details of the application for <br />the benefit of the Board and those present. However, no one requested to be recog- <br />nized. After the lapse of a reasonable length of time, Commissioner John R. <br />Dossenbach, Jr. , moved that the hearing be closed. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted, <br />Mr. Buchanan then presented to the Board a resolution with respect <br />to Uniform Relocation Assistance and Acquisition policy to be followed. The <br />resolution was considered and discussed and a copy of same is hereto attached to <br />these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, Commissioner Jerry M. <br />Almond moved that the resolution be adopted as the policy of this Board with respect <br />to Relocation and Acquisition. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr, seconded the <br />motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />County Manager, Walter B. Hartman, Jr., presented for consideration <br />a budget amendment entitled "Appropriation Adjustment #4/l/85/16", a copy of which <br />is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. The matter was <br />discussed and reviewed, following which Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved the <br />adoption of the budget amendment. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The County Manager presented a memorandum with respect to <br />"In-County" travel allowances which was distributed to the Board and discussed. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr, moved that "In-County "travel allowances <br />be made a part of the overall salary of the individuals who are entitled to such <br />allowances and that a budget amendment be prepared to carry this out. Commiss- <br />ioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />The Board next considered the tax refunds and releases for the <br />month of March as prepared by the Tax Supervisor, and upon motion of Commiss- <br />ioner Jerry M. Almond, which motion was seconded by Commissioner Raymond C. <br />Cox, Jr. , it.was unanimously resolved to authorize the releases and refunds con- <br />tained in said report, a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference <br />made a part hereof, <br />The Board next considered the draft of a bill entitled "An Act To <br />Improve The Collection Of Property Taxes On Motor VehiclesBy Requiring That <br />These Taxes Be Paid When A Vehicle Registration Is Renewed". Commissioner <br />Raymond C. Cox, Jr., moved that the Board endorse and urge the enactment of <br />this legislation. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />
