0 0 wo U ?Art 718 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Monday, April lst, 1985 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Monday, April 1st, 1985, at 9:30 o1clock a, m., in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present when the meeting opened were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. Dotterer and Bertha L. Matthews. Chairman John E. Dotterer announced that a quorum was present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by Chairman John E. Dotterer. The minutes of the regular meeting held on March 18, 1985 and minutes of the special meeting held on March 22, 1985, were approved and ordered recorded, upon motion of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, which motion was unanimously adopted by a vote. Mr. Charles Ingram was recognized as newly appointed member of the Parks and Recreation Commission. Mr. Beady Waddell was recognized and presented a certificate for his services on the Youth Commission. Rev. Roy Swann and Ms. Mary Hawley Oates was recognized as newly appointed members of the Youth Commission. Sheriff James Holt appeared before the Board with members of his staff and reviewed his budget request. Mr. Elwin Buchanan, Grants Administrator, appeared before the Board and reviewed the report of the projects being supervised by his office. Mr. Buchanan also reviewed the Community Development application. Mr. Buchanan advised the Board that he had advertised for a required public hearing upon the
