During the discussion of this motion, Commissioner Jerry M. Almond joined <br />the meeting and he participated in the further deliberations of the Board. After <br />discussion of the motion, the Chairman called for a vote and the motion was <br />adopted unanimously. <br />The Chairman announced that he was appointed Commissioner <br />John R. Dossenbach, Jr. and Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., to serve <br />as Water Commissioners to establish policies and procedures with respect to <br />the County's Water System. <br />With respect to the planned joint meeting of the Board of Education <br />with the Board of Commissioners, it was reported that Assistant Superintendent <br />Atkinson stated that all the Board of Education desired at the present time was to <br />have an informal meeting with the Board. <br />The County Manager presented a written offer from Wilkins <br />Corporation for the sale of their interest in the Wilrik Building and the Sears <br />Building. A copy of this offer is attached to these minutes and by this reference <br />made a part hereof. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the offer from <br />Wilkins Corporation be accepted. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, Commissioners Almond, Cox, Dossenbach, <br />Matthews and Dotterer voted in favor of it and no one voted against it. <br />Commissioner Almond moved that the County Manager be author- <br />ized to solicit bids from Architects with respect to renovations to the County <br />Office Building (Wilrik Building) and the old Hospital Building. Commissioner <br />Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the meeting <br />adjourn, sine die. The motion was duly seconded and unanimously adopted and <br />the meeting adjourned in accordance with the motion. <br />CHAIRMAN <br />C <br />
